Privacy Policy

This extension tracks bookmark usage frequency. All processing is local; no data is transmitted to any server.

Data Collected

• Bookmark URL
• Click count
• First/Last access timestamps (UTC)

Purposes

• Display usage statistics (totals, distribution, top bookmarks)
• User-initiated export to CSV/JSON

Processing & Storage

• Stored locally in chrome.storage.local
• No remote upload, sync, or sharing

Permissions

• bookmarks: map stats to bookmarks
• storage: save statistics locally
• webNavigation: detect visits originating from bookmarks
• <all_urls>: ensure navigation listening across sites

Sharing & Third Parties

No sharing with third parties; no analytics or ad services.

User Control

• Export CSV/JSON (timestamps in UTC)
• Reset single/bulk counts, clean deleted bookmarks, clear all data

Retention

Data remains locally until the user clears it or uninstalls the extension.

Security

No network transmission; local storage managed by the browser.

Children’s Privacy

Not directed at children; no personal identifiable information collected.

Changes

Changes to this policy will be announced on the extension listing or project site.
